In celebration of peace, Songo reaffirms commitment to national unity

On October 4th, the date marking the General Peace Accords, the community of Songo gathered in a solemn and meaningful act, evoking the importance of peace and national unity. The ceremony took place in the town square and included the laying of flowers, as well as speeches that extolled the value of peaceful coexistence and the preservation of reconciliation ideals.
The event was attended by the Head of the Post, local authorities, religious leaders, community leaders, representatives of civil society, school managers, and students, in a collective gesture that went beyond commemoration: it symbolized the community's deep commitment to unwavering peace and the continuous construction of an increasingly prosperous, just, and united Mozambique. The act leaves a powerful lesson of civility and hope for future generations, reinforcing historical memory and the value of harmony for the community and the country in general.
